This machine works pretty good, the problem is cleaning the machine itself afterwards. The dirty water collects in a tank that you remove and dump out. The problem is all the dirty water runs through this long hose to get to the tank, and you CANNOT DETATCH THE HOSE FROM THE MACHINE. So while you can empty and clean out the dirty water tank, there no easy way to clean out the inside of the hose, which still has a significant amount of gross dirty water in it. This is my 2nd Spotbot so I can say from experience that you MUST go through the very laborious and awkward task of cleaning out that hose after every use or your machine will become extremely nasty very quickly. The smart fix would be for the machine to bypass the hose when not in hose/tool mode, but considering how long Bissell has been making this product without correcting this obvious design flaw I doubt that will ever happen.
