Was looking for a volume pedal that didn't require a batter or a wall wart to power. This pedal fit the bill and it works perfectly.

Great choice
Just get it. If you want a small footprint, high impact volume pedal, this is it! I love the tuner out, the ease of use, the reliability, the build quality, the feel of it beneath your foot, and the fact that it has an adjustable sweep switch, makes it one of the best bang for your buck volume pedals out there. If you're lookin for something to use on swells, this has non-linear sweeping, which means your swells come across much more musical and non robotic. It works great as a master vol pedal too, just plug her in and go! Don't think about it too much, just get it and start playing'

Don't kid yourself, this is the best and its the one you want on your board. It is everything I wanted from the moment I opened the box. Well done Ernie Ball.

I was in a hurry and I didn't want to spend a lot of money... I also didn't have a lot of space left on my pedal board. Given these constraints this was a fine volume pedal. I had a long weekend gig and it performed fine for the four days. I did find that it's possible to push the volume past 0. When you do that it goes around full volume. Fortunately I found this behavior during sound check. Once I knew that could happen it wasn't a problem, just don't STAND on it. A simple rock back to zero works fine. Will I keep it forever? good question. I probably will. cheers.

3.5 stars is what I would give it, so I rounded up. Cons: - It's long. 10" plus the cords coming out of the top, so you need to have pedal space. My board is pretty tight, so that part sucks. (On the bright side, it's thinner than a Morley). Using right-angled cord plugs seems to be tolerable. - The guts are totally open to the outside. There are metal pieces and cloth strings exposed. If you're careful with it, that probably won't matter, but it's the only volume pedal I've seen with this particular issue. Pros: - I'm using this between my 8th and 9th pedal, so there is signal modification between my guitar and the pedal, but the volume is definitely audible at slightly-above-bottom position, which is more than I can say for the Morley (which I believe was 250k). The "volume swell" may not be good enough for ambient players, but it's the best I've seen so far, at least with my setup, which is why I call it a "pro". - The pedal length is a con, but it's also a pro, because almost your whole foot makes contact with all of the pedal, which gives you greater control. - It feels good under your feet, and seems to stick in place wherever you put it within the volume spectrum. For the price, it's good. I'd be interested in checking out some $200+ volume pedals, but it just kills me to pay that much for a volume pedal! Are volume pedals really that difficult to make flexible?

Has worked perfectly with my EMG active pickups without any problems & with passive pickups as well.

Seems sturdy, but a little concerned about durability since the inside of the pedal is open to the elements (I regularly play indoor and outdoor gigs). That being said, this pedal allows me to have consistent tone in other pedals regardless of what amp/cab I'm running through, when the volume pedal is at the end of the chain. If you use analog pedals, this will set you free. Cheap enough to at least try it!
