Amazon Reviews

As a pharmacist retired of 40 years I searched Ketotifen eye drops and every 12 hour allergy relief product, also known by brand names Alaway etc. So when I bought it a while back and even today, Opcon-A is grouped with it, and is a non ketotifen product. If it was not listed in the first four selections with a twin pack at a lower price I selected it. I should have remembered Opcon-A was an old ophthalmic and often times brand name products use the same name and reformulate it. Most people buy generic anyway usually. I didn't realize that as I hurriedly selected it and felt it as it dropped in and then checked the ingredients. My bad, but why is it still featured with Ketotifen products. BUYER BEWARE!
I cannot review the drops themselves, as I COULD NOT GET THE CAP OFF!!!! This has got to be the worst design of (I guess) childproof packaging ever, because they're also Adult-proof! What's worse, there are NO INSTRUCTIONS how to open it -- not on the bottle, not on the box they came in, and there is no patient-info insert. Although it must be said, if you're suffering from allergy-eyes, you probably wouldn't be able to read it anyway. It has a weird ratcheting type thing inside the lid that doesn't comply with the usual torturous "Push down while pulling up" bull pucky of prescription pill bottles. I'll be returning these today. I bought them at the Supermarket, glad to find the two-pack on sale for what I guess was a great price. I hope they don't give me crap about it, but I can't be the only one to have had the problem. I just hope they return them to the vendor with pertinent info on WHY I returned it. May have to drop a note to B&L to tell them myself.

Doesn’t sting or burn and quickly relieves eye allergies for me.
Great ValueOct. 2021
We love these eye drops to help with allergy eye issues resulting from both seasonal changes and pollution, but can't stand spending twice as much at CVS. This double pack is a great value pack! Second time we've purchased this pack and we will continue to do so as long as the price stays reasonable.

Great value!May 2012
These drops work. Two bottles for $8 shipped is a steal considering shipping probably costs $3. Most other drops don't do anything when you put them in. You can tell these work as soon as you put them in. They cause a slight sting and then your eyes become kind of numb, but soon after they rid them of any itchiness, redness or puffiness. The normal dosage is 1 to 2 drops every 4 hours which is about right for normal allergy sufferers, but my eye allergies are so bad sometimes they become irritated again by the pollen in the air within 2 hours. I do wear contacts and these drops help tremendously. On the golf course however my allergies are so bad I cannot wear any contacts because my eyes will puff and swell up and feel like there are sand bits underneath my eye lids. However if I wear just my glasses while using the drops I can make it through an entire round. Additionally, Opcon-A is better than $140 drops prescribed by my optometrist called Pataday... so go ahead and try them, you won't be disappointed.

Really helped my eyes.
I have been using Opcon-A since college. I went to the clinic certain that I had pinkeye, but the nurse told me it was bad allergies and to try this. It really works! It does sting for a second (I don't find it all that bad) but then suddenly your eye feels refreshed and is BRIGHT WHITE! The best part is, it will make your eyes white (and your inner corner from red to pale pink) no matter what the cause of the redness. Allergies? Of course. Staring at your computer at work for too long? No problem. Irritating eyeliner? Sure thing! I find this to work much better than regular moisturizing (visine-type) eye drops. This 2-pack is a great deal, as it's kind of expensive at the drugstore. My only complaint is that these bottles have child-proof caps, and I have never seen that before. They used to be regular screw-top, but this pack has large lids that you have to press down on firmly as you open. Not a big deal, but kind of annoying. Great product anyway.
