We’ve had mice in the engine bay of our car under the plastic engine cover and they chewed up the insulation. When I saw these botanical rodent repellent dispensers (2 count) I knew that this was a good way to solve this problem. You can also you dryer sheets, so I’ve heard, but these seem pretty powerful as they filled up my house with the smell! Haha! Once I removed them and put them in the car, my house is back to normal. Yay! These have a soft adhesive on the back to hold them in place. Use some rubbing alcohol onto whatever you are sticking it to for best adhesion. I did not use the adhesive, but it seems like it would work to hold it in place. My cars engine, with the cover in place, would only allow the canister to be positioned sideways, which shouldn’t matter. If you don’t use both canisters, save the remaining one in zip-loc bags so you don’t lose the “aroma”! These will work to keep mice out of your vehicle, boat or RV. Recommended!
There is almost no scent to these repellent containers. Disappointed.

I live in a rural area and we have kangaroo rats so they sometimes get into my car so I have used many things but nothing seems to keep them out. The odor on this product is a bit strong so I have faith that it will keep them out.

I just placed these rat deterrent metal pods. One under the hood and on top of the battery and the other on the cement floor pad underneath our RV. So far it's been a couple days and I haven't seen any sites of the rats. The order is pleasant and very strong. I will report back again in a few weeks to see if this product still works.
I have a problem with millipedes and live in an older house. I put one of these pods in a closet next to the crawl space and one behind the toilet in the bathroom. The scent is definitely noticeable, it almost smells like a cheap air freshener- but it seems to deter bugs so I’m happy with it.
These arrived with an extremely strong scent that has diminished over the last two weeks. I imagine they will need to be refreshed after 30-45 days. It took me a few days to dig out the ladder and install the tins near the attic where I see the rats run to and from on a regular basis. Time will tell if these offer the deterrent I'm hoping for. The double sided tape on the back stuck quite nicely to the wood where I placed it.

I moved in with my elderly dad recently and I know we have a mouse somewhere in the pot cabinet (or at least we had one) I found mouse poop and urine when I was going through the pots he was using. Pulled everything out and washed everything. I stuck one of these in the back of the cabinet and have only found a little poop for one day, since the day I stuck it in there. The scent is pleasant and not dangerous to my dogs or the cat. I try to stay as natural as I can. Its been a few weeks now and nothing. Apparently it works! Yes I am going to recommend this product.
I'm really not sure whether this 2Pack Rodent Repellent for Car Engines, Under Hood Mouse Repellent is effective or not. I had been seeing signs of rodent activity under my vehicle's hood and decided to test this out because "Peppermint Oil" and "Mint" were listed so prominently in the description. I've had good luck using peppermint scented repellents in the past and was hoping that this would work as well. However, upon opening a canister of this 2Pack Rodent Repellent and removing the protective paper cover, the scent that was emitted was not mint or peppermint in my opinion. It was some kind of unpleasant spicy sweet scent like a very strong air freshener. I decided to try out a canister under my car hood all the same to see if it would at least work as a rodent repellent. Unfortunately, after a couple of days, I couldn't stand the strong unpleasant smell of the repellent that was coming through the vents from under the hood. I would have been fine with a mint scent, but not this. I had to scrape off the adhesive backing and close up the canister again. This vented canister repellent design is great, but the scent was not mint as listed and definitely wasn’t right for me.
This has helped me get rid of some rats in my garage. I placed these near the most heavily trafficed area where the rodents have been in my garage and within a few days they stopped showing up! Great product!
