The smaller the box the more difficult it is to open. You need to press in really hard and when it pops open you run the risk of the contents flying out (I use them for jewelry beads). Some have cracked while attempting to open them and have almost cut my hand. For younger people probably no issue but the type with the small latch lock that you flip up first before lifting the lid is better for this mid-50's grandma.
