Overall I’m content. This bissel works quite well on food stains on my carpets. I also cleaned a carpet that is 35 years old and it looks brags new. I didn’t even use a cleaning agent, just hot water. I bought cleaning agent for use on more stubborn stains. It’s a good value. The key is to work the wand slowly. I also pre saturate the area to be cleaned with water prior to using the bissel.

This is amazing, I just got mine and I did some tests in different surfaces and the results are incredible
Used a UV light on pet messes to compare before and after; for the price, this shouldve worked much better.

We just got a puppy and she peed on our new rug. We ordered this unit and it came the next day. It took out the stain and looks like new again. We will update if we have any problems with it down the road but I cannot foresee that being likely because this unit seems to be well made.
Water from the cleaning reservoir seeped out from the bottom of the machine, my floors got soaked and so did my couch because I stupidly set the machine on it while trying to get through all the “trouble shooting” to get this thing to work. The spray trigger would not press in at all, so nothing would spray out and there was hardly any suction so I couldn’t even get up all the liquid that had leaked out onto the couch. I would swear I’m doing something wrong because of how horribly this came out of the box but I followed all set up exactly. Disaster
We ordered a professional cleaning service to clean our couches, and they only made the furniture look dirtier. We bought this little Bissell and our beautiful designer couch looks new. Save your money on professional cleaners and get this instead. After paying $500 for cleaners to clean few rugs and couches we bought Bissell and did it ourselves for fraction of the price and much much better results. Hope you avoid this mistake.

1. I wanted to toss these nasty chairs but hubs was attached. I will say I worked hard too. Don’t expect to just spray and suck one time. This was vigorous work. But the machine performed well too :) 2. I purchased the pet version because I have two rescues that still have accidents occasionally. Especially my diva pug that will not go out in the rain. 10 out of 10 with pet stains!! I mean practically effortless. This is the main reason I wanted this machine and I’m thrilled. 3. As far as regular dirty/stained carpet.. didn’t really do much. But understandable, not what it’s advertised for. Overall very pleased. Rinse parts well while still wet so you can get out the grime/pet hair so it doesn’t harden and later clog the machine
Exactly 3 days after the return window closed, the water/solution sprayer stopped working. It's like they knew it would only last 30 days.
Could just use more suction- we got this thing to deal with puppy stuff... It does, but not miraculously.
