You open it; place it over the affected area; stomp on it a little to release the liquid and walk away. Come back in a few hours or leave them overnight. When you take pad off; the spot or blot is gone.

These things are amazing! Just spent $120.00 to have our rug cleaned after our dog had been sick all over it. Still came back with multiple stains after they had attempted to remove them. Thought I’d give it a last ditch effort before having to throw it out and worked like a charm. Left them down for 12 hours.
