The light would not turn off unless you hit the main power switch behind the mirror and now it is bright for a whole 10 seconds, when you first turn it on, then the light becomes so dim that there is no reason for it at all. DO NOT BUY THIS MIRROR, unless your only buying it for the mirror and not the lights.
