I gave this a 4 star because I just installed the sensor today, so I cannot rate the durability. Easy to install in my 1995 Trans Am. This sensor is used in many GM AUTOMOBILES. In my case I first removed the battery. Second, I pried the keeper wire from the old unit, which just crumbled on the tabs as I removed the wire using a screwdriver and pull away with pliers. Third: get your new unit ready, remove the connector from the old unit and clip to the new one, add a little lube to the "O" rings, and have it near to where it goes. Fourth: Just twist slightly and pull away from radiator, as soon as it comes out just place the new one in the hole. I only lost about a half cup of fluid from the radiator. Piece of cake. Indicator light on dash is cleared. No need to purchase this from more expensive suppliers. Wireman.
