Needed 12 bolts to complete the install of my 351 Cleveland intake. Only four would fit. Four others were too long by 1/4 inch and bottomed out without tightening. The kit only came with 3/8 in bolts but it also needed four 5/16 inch bolts for the inside four. The kit also provided two bolts that were much too long to be of any use. Have no idea what they could possibly be for. I had to go to my local Ace Hardware store to get the proper sized grade 8 bolts to complete my install. It was of no use to utilize the four bolts that actually fit since they are stainless and use a different sized 12 point socket to tighten. All the bolts purchased at Ace were consistent color and head size. Lost money on this!!!

These were not long enough for the oem cast aluminium valve covers but they worked great with the edlebrock stamped covers i bought to clearance the set of 1.65 ratio roller rockers i installed. With the stamped covers these were long enough for two thick gaskets.
