I got 16,800 miles on a rear tire, 4,500 of those miles where towing a 500lb trailer. They handle the road extremely well in the rain. They also handle dirt/ gravel roads. Anyone who's traveled on BLM land knows what I mean.

We have ridden 57,000 miles in the last 30 months. During that time we have used OEM Dunlop 427 , Avon Cobra and now the Commander II. We mounted the Commander II about 1,000 miles ago when passing through West Virginia. The Avon Cobra had excellent grip and reasonable longivity. On our way south we rode many back roads in WVA, VA, NC, TN, GA, FL including the Dragons' backbone and the Tail of the Dragon. We also had to travel about 200 miles of expressway. The C II tire is far superior to the OEM Dunlop 427 in both wet and dry grip, ride smoothness, and quietness. That isn't much praise due to extremely poor performance of Dunlop's 427. I have no doubt the CII will last for thousands of miles longer than the 427. The CII demonstrated excellent grip on the Tail of the Dragon.

I ran these tires on a 2001 Kaw ZRX1200 R, two sets, when I got old and went Harley, I put them on a 2003 Roadking, now they're going on a 2012 Road Glide Ultra. These tires last forever and provide the best ride and handling of any tire I've ever used. I used to run Continental Road Attacks or Avon's on my street bikes, back in the 70s & 80s, it was Bridgestone. I'll never run another tire than these. Thousands of miles have proved them to me. The price was the best through Amazon and they arrived two days easier than the shipping said. Kudos all around to Michelin, Amazon and Jake Wilson.com.
