I’ve been in the market for a new DI for a while. When I saw that Donner was offering a new product, I knew it’d be a quality product. It’s well built and the small form factor is great since I’m going to put this on my pedal board. The ground lift switch does what it’s supposed to and completely removes the hum. Overall, I’d highly recommend this DI. Donner makes quality products at an affordable price and this DI is no different

Great product
This box lets you get connected and making noise quickly and easily. I only recently found Donner, and so far, their prices are pretty good. This is the second one of these I purchased, the other one was not from Donner, and cost a bit more, but otherwise was exactly the same, as far as hookups and the schematic supplied. I have now purchased a couple of other Donner products, and will enjoy using this box, because I no longer have a HUM :-)
 First off, this box is super robust. I've read reviews of other DIs in this price range and any reservations those reviewers had with the build quality possible for this price I absolutely don't have with this one. Donner's pedals all feel as well made as any 'major brand'. Versatility is the name of the game with this product to begin with, and it does exactly as intended, split your signal allowing a balanced signal and unbalanced for various uses. For my purpose, I'm recording guitar through an amp and want to get a dry signal as well for software amplification or reamping at a later date. Please see my video to see my setup, and hear a sample of both the sound coming out of my Fender GT40 USB, ,as well as the dry signal from the Donner Special-I through a Focusrite interface into Garageband. I demo both sounds, and turning off and on some effects in Garageband for reference. I'm not in a position to really test the ground lift, but hopefully, I can employ this in a live setting at some point soon and see if that comes up. Thanks Donner!

Works as advertised. It's a great passive DI for any home studio or live application. It's built like a tank, and I've experienced no noise come home, or hiss from the line signal using this so far in a couple different applications. As a long-time musician and home Studio owner with many years experience I would recommend this product as a rock solid solution at a great price.

 I play bass with single coil pickups for church, I've been fighting noise in the output for a long time. I've had to use an old 9v battery powered DI box to minimize the noise. This passive box is a huge improvement. The annoyances of dead batteries from forgetting to unplug the instrument cable and the loud noises coming through the PA when plugging in are gone. The sound quality is really good. The single coil pickups don't add any noise into the audio. Since it's a passive box you're going to have to turn the gain up. I'm really impressed by this thing. I'm getting rid of my other box and sticking with this one

Very simple to use. Has 3 connections and 1 button. You can use some of them or all of them. Ground lift works great.
At this or any price point it’s perfect. It is what it is; passive, quiet when ground lift is engaged and it gets a balanced signal to your recording interface or PA. I recommend you get one. I’m pretty happy with mine.

Well made and built pretty solidly. It has some weight to it for the size. Though it is small enough to throw it in your gig bag. Very quiet, low noise. I am using it to record bass, electric and acoustic guitar and keyboards in my home studio. Also, use the parallel feature to eliminate ground loops while runnig a second guitar amp in a stereo rig. Roadworthy, I will be buying another one or two to take with me on the road when this pandemic is over. For the price and quality, can't beat it!
