My wife cut herself with a clean utility blade. It was not bleeding bad but was fairly deep. She did not want to go to the hospital. Had she gone they may have given her a couple stitches to close the wound. This bandage tightly closed the wound after she cleaned it well. The only problem is that after a week it was starting to come off. Ideally it could have stayed completely secure for two weeks to fully heal, But at this point it was healing nicely and had stayed clean, so she switched to standard bandages and medical tape after the 7 days. If you know basic first aid and how to clean and assess a wound, I think that this is a good option to avoid a trip to the ER on some cases. But you must know when it is OK to use this vs. seeing a doctor, if unsure go to the ER. This has its place though. As an aside, some of these other reviews for this product do not seem legitimate. It is a good product, but certainly not perfect.

I loved being able to easily help myself out in the field and how easy it was to use…but mostly loved how it actually stayed on and I felt comfortable not having to go to the doctor. What I am No happy about is that I only bought one. Now I will be buying one for each of my family member's to keep in their first aid kits. Awesome product. Hope it sticks around.
