The blanket closest to the temperature control gets a lot warmer than the rest of the blanket. I feel the whole blanket should be at the same temperature. It's supposed to be washable too. I had washed mine, but the blanket stop heating up a day after. Although the temperature control unit and lighter unit showed it was working. The lighter unit was very very hot to the touch at the contact point. Bought a different electric blanket and going to throw this electric blanket right into the garbage.

Unfortunately my blanket didn’t heat up as expected. The operating lights went on when plugged in and I did find a small spot that felt a little warm but over 98% of the blanket stayed cool to the touch no matter how long I kept it plugged in and I did try all the settings. After a few hours of almost no heat I had to return it.

Every once in a while, you receive a product that meets/exceeds it's description. This is a well made car blanket, and we use it in the RV. Heavy, soft, can be machine washed and auto shut off. We've had a few and this is BY FAR the best. I recommend to everyone. UPDATE 022122; I knew it was too good to be true. It quit working - had it 1 month - it's going back - holding off rating till then...... UPDATE 2; Looks like it had a loose connection where the cord plugs into the blanket. The plug on the power side (not the blanket side) of the cord. The connection may loosen during the night, so check it if the heat goes off. Re-rated ay 4 stars. UPDATE 3; It quit working 5-1-22. Not a loose connection.... it's the blanket itself. ONE Star rating!

Actually bought a different blanket which was cheaper and high ratings, but did not get very warm. Returned it and bought this one. Definitely happy with our decision. Has controls for temperature and like the safety feature of turning off after 30”, 45”, or 60”. The temperature is great and very warm. Worth the price and very soft too! High recommendation!
