I am so happy with this thing that I actually could not wait to do this review. Having my 2015 Silverado 1500 Z71 with 5.3 engine for more than a year now, this AFM disabler is the best thing I have done to it. Like many others, at first I thought the AFM function was fairly neat. A way to save a bit of fuel. But, although it is a consideration, do we really buy V8 trucks to go into 4-cylinder mode? As many others have suggested, including the manufacturer’s instructions, I didn’t plug this thing in until I first disconnected my negative terminal from the battery. After that, one push into the OBD port and then reconnect the battery. Took all of 15 seconds. Don’t be put off by the simple packaging and one-page instruction sheet. That is all you need. I let it stop flashing and proceeded to take s test drive. Highway speed or moderate to heavy acceleration was never the problem. My complaint was the transition to 4-cylinder as I drove through the 20mph areas where I live or when gently trying to accelerate after a near stop for a traffic light. That is when the AFM made that annoying pop from the exhaust, custom run duals behind the passenger side rear wheel, and there was a delay in acceleration. No longer! It was immediately better. Drove the same street where it ALWAYS went into half-engine mode but this time the display indicated the V8 was always active. It kept the throaty sound and actually pushed better at slow speeds before I needed a heavier acceleration. As I stated previously, I instantly felt a difference. Now, for the skeptic. I was so very close to getting the Range AFM many times but could never quite bring myself to spend the $190 or so on what I thought was a “maybe it will work” situation. I found this one and, after reading many of the reviews, decided to try it knowing I would return it if it did not work and then buy the more expensive one. I don’t care what it’s branded. I only care that it was approximately $60 cheaper than any other one and that it works exactly as it should. If it fails, I will update this review. For now, though, I am very pleased and will tell anyone that it was the most quickly apparent improvement short of a custom program job or a new set of lifters, cam shaft etc. for my performance. Take it or leave the blue light glow on my foot well. I don’t really care for it so will probably put tape over the LEDs.

Bang for your buck for a quick flip on throttle response super quick install couldn’t be happier

bought one of these for my work truck, a 2018 f250 6.7 powerstroke. I ended up putting it in my 2011 f350 dually first to see if the hype is true. It will not leave the dually and i promptly ordered another for the work tuck,it works as stated, only lag left is in the transmission shifts, which are firm from delete tune. i run it on a conservative city zero setting, as stated before, this truck is tuned and deleted, i did not think i needed this little gadget until i used it and then turned it off. this will not increase power at all, it increases the responsiveness and accessibility to power thats already there easier and faster. Stock is for the masses, one size fits all, i prefer custom tuning to my preferences, this lets you choose your desired throttle sensitivity. Expensive luxury cars that offer sport mode and such are the same thing as this.
Lasted 25 months then just like many FAILED on my wife....P2138. I own an auto shop and loved the product...But my wife is the main driver on our 2018 4-Runner with ONLY 29k miles on it. Sad the product looks good and performed reliably but now can't return it so will be replacing it with a Speed Booster version cause I just can't take the CRAP throttle the 4-runner has. THANKS P.C. for making my life hell who cares about the $300.00 I am out....my WIFE IS PISSED...that's not worth a million to me!
2011 Ford F-250 it feel alive now! She was asleep now morning as come! YOU MUST TRY THIS !
Great productAug. 2020
6 seconds to install and well worth the money. Works ridiculously. Very noticeable change in throttle response, at least in a 2020 f250 diesel. Took out all the timing lag. Sport mode is plenty. Sport 2 unnecessary, but I like that it’s there anyway. Great product.

Great for the 2020 4Runners lack of throttle response. Significantly improved the 4Runners ability to accelerate smoothly.
First day of install and so far I LOVE IT! Sport+ is super intimidating with how easy it is to spin the tires. Almost impossible to press pedal without burning out. City mode is great for driving around town and still gives it more acceleration. Sport is fun but can still be a bit much. Haven’t experienced ECO and not sure about mpg increase but didn’t buy this for better gas mileage. Was super skeptical about all the reviews I read but this product is definitely a win as of now. If no issues arise as far as engine lights or computer problems this product will be one of my favorite additions to my truck!! Money well spent so far!! BE CAREFUL IN SPORT+ MODE 😂 So much fun though!!
