For another couple hundred dollars I could have purchased a much more substantial and durable piece of furniture. However, at the time that wasn't an option - we needed a place for our TV. Now I sort of wish I would have waited. This TV stands looks very nice and goes with our mid-century furniture. However, the drawers don't seem very durable and don't close perfectly. The veneer finish certainly isn't perfect. The color is also slightly yellowish and doesn't quite coordinate with our other original midcentury teak furniture. Assembly was not an issue but my husband is very handy and great at that kind of thing. Might be a challenge for those that aren't.
Pros: Its a solid product. I brought it to store equipment for a home theater setup. It looks great! It looks like it was made to match the piano black B & W speakers and other equipment I purchased for this home theater installation. Cons: The delivery company. I order this under Amazon Prime, two-day delivery. This product was delivered about two or more days late, so it missed my installers. I had to keep calling the company to inquire about the delivery. They kept telling me it was out for delivery and it never arrived. I finally called Amazon and that same night, someone in a pickup truck pulled in my driveway at 7:30 PM. The driver asked me for help to get the item in my front door. After being late, outside his delivery window, and requiring help getting the product inside my front door, I expected more assistance with this hugh box; however, he stated delivery inside the front door was all he was required to do. If I had another source for this product, I would have refused this delivery and took it up with Amazon later. I reviewed the paperwork and discovered this was a two person job but only one small guy in a red pickup truck showed up. I guess I was expecting something more during the holiday season and to make up for the very poor customer service.

Very poorly packaged....three pieces of the tv stand arrived damaged. One end of the bottom panel was splintered off. The mounting pegs on the two side panels were knocked off as well.
Pros: Easy to assemble. I put it together by myself in a few hours. Cons: I purchased this at a discount with the description that some of the "interior" parts were damaged. Taking that as some of the internal, not visible pieces were damaged I thought no big deal. Putting it together I was a lot more disappointed with all the apparent, visible, impossible to fix (because it's not made from real wood) damages.
this was well worth the money at three bills. it’s better looking than any ikea furniture, same price range (on sale) and much easier to put together. and those saying it’s not west elm quality, i think for the price, it’s better. i used to buy lots from west elm, from curtains to couch to rugs, and not ONE of their furnishings has lasted, so i stopped buying from them. so... not including unboxing (get your vacuum out and suck up the styro bits as you unpack) it took me about an hour to put it together, by myself. the instructions were super easy to follow, i was surprised the cabinet is held together by plastic locking mechanisms and a few bolt screws. you line up the locking mechanisms with the help of small dowels. i was sure one of them was going to break, and they get harder to lock as you get farther along, but it all came together. it feels sturdy, but i’m not convinced, seeing how it holds together. all in all, it’s a great piece for the sale price i paid. very pleased.

I hardly ever take time to write reviews, but this product compelled me to be a contributing member of the Amazon community and help out other shoppers. Pointing out the obvious - the Crosley Landon collection is pretty much a direct knock-off of the West Elm Mid-Century lineup, which I love. Not wanting to pay West Elm prices, I began looking for good quality products with a similar vibe but lower price. I was definitely intrigued when I stumbled upon the nearly identical Landon collection, but was little skeptical since West Elm's version of this cabinet is double the cost at $700. I thought it might be too good to be true at this price point but decided to give it a chance. The box that arrived was VERY heavy, which to me is a great initial indicator of quality. When I opened it up, it was packed very well with foam and protective covering on each piece. There was no damage to any of the pieces in the box. It even came with a few extra screws and assembly pieces, which is nice to have in case one of them bounces under your couch and into another dimension during assembly. Other people commented on assembly being a hassle. I personally didn't find it to be very difficult - just a little time consuming. It comes with clear instructions and good diagrams, and the parts are all labeled well. It maybe took me a little over an hour to assemble by myself, and would be even quicker with two people. Just be sure to carefully read the instructions and be patient and you'll be fine. The assembly kit comes with an allen wrench, so all you'll need aside from that is a phillips head screwdriver. This cabinet looks great and does not feel janky at all. I walked into West Elm the other day for comparison, and after seeing both products in-person I feel like they're definitely in the same league in terms of quality and build. West Elm is a a hair better, but also double the price. I think the Landon collection has a slightly different color, but I personally really like the color. You can see what it looks like in the picture I included. After testing the waters with this cabinet, I definitely plan to purchase the $240 Landon bar cabinet in lieu of the $800 West Elm version.
Box arrived on time and seemed to be intact with only a few shallow dents. Opening and a quick look inside seemed to show no damage. A week or two later as I started the project, I noticed an unusual break in one of the vertical dividers...thought it was random and just glued it. As I started pulling the pieces out to sand each one I eventually came to one of the shelves that was also broken near a glue joint. Again thought it was random so I glued that also (Good thing I had the tools). Finally I noticed damage on the bottom panel and real panel. Now I know why Amazon was selling these at a supposed reduced price. The product itself seems to be nice, solid wood throughout, though employs butcher block type glued panels. But I have had to put way more time into to finishing it than I should have. Hopefully Amazon will give me a bit of a credit for all the extra work I have had to put into this.
Not as solid and the “acorn” finish is slightly lighter than the WE version - most-likely due to a difference in materials. WE uses sustainable mango wood while the type of “solid wood” used in this version is unspecified. Crosley version arrives in multiple pieces to assemble whereas the WE Mid-Century line requires far less assembly so is a more seemless finished product. For the money, this is a good proxy but don’t expect an exact replica, especially if you’re trying to match to WE pieces.
Absolutely gorgeous credenza. Beautiful honey color. Just what I wanted. It's sturdy and heavy and you have to put it together. Best to have two people but you can do it by yourself. Great for wine storage. I use mine to store photos albums. I know it will last for years.
