Plain white was before, I was going for an ombre look. I used the emerald dye from about the chest down. Then I used the dark green dye at the very bottom. I followed the directions and had kept it in the dye for quite a long time, and it did not take. The dark green ended up removing color from the bottom instead of making it a darker color. Considering both dyes I used are green and the dress ended up blue...... pretty disappointing spending the money and hours work to have it barely work at all. The emerald at least worked where as the dark green was useless.
