This is a made in USA, kickass quality marlin spike! I don’t write a ton of amazon reviews, despite being a member for 21 years, unless I really feel strongly about something... and this thing is worth writing about. For what you get, the price is ridiculously affordable. It’s made from titanium (near the strength of steel, but much lighter and won’t rust), has awesome craftsmanship (handmade, great finish and fits awesome in the hand), comes in a handy tube for storage, and came with a nice free pen to boot! I’ve used it to tighten and undo paracord knots, and I can’t speak more highly of its usefulness and quality. Feels great in the hand, and the point is just the right “pointiness” to get into the folds of a knot, but not needle sharp where you end up ruining your rope/cord... or standing yourself. Highly recommend this thing, and I’m looking for any excuse to buy something else made by Butterfield.

This product is a nice little piece and can be used for a variety of knotting, especially picking knots apart. It's a lot smaller than I thought it would be though. It is well made but I feel it should be larger for what I paid.
