I've been using this foaming fire barrier in commercial construction sites for over a year. It is a great product. The foaming action really makes sealing around conduits and pipes a breeze as it fills gaps better than the standard caulk type firestops. When it comes to sealing around a bundle of cables, like data wires, this is hands down the best product I've used. It is more expensive than the caulk type firestops, but the labor savings are quite worth the extra cost.

I think the Fireblock tube I received had extended itself beyond the normal shelf-life. It was so hard and I could not, easily penetrate the tubing using the standard procedure by puncturing the end with a common nail. After extra force was used, the tube oozed it's contents from the side. Therefore, it is not restorable for future use.

Used this to finish fire blocking our basement walls. Dries pretty quickly and becomes hard after it does dry. About half the price of the 3M brand and it passed the city inspection.

This product did not work. We followed all the directions. Within two weeks it all fell off. Very irritated with this product!!
I like the fact that it is red and easy to see. It has worked great and flows well. This has done a good job ceiling up some gaps on my diesel heater installation.

I expected the product color to be red, it was pink when applicate’d, fire inspector didn't like !
The stuff dries hard like concrete. And fire does not affect it. Just what I needed
It applies as described. It's the same as applying caulk, except the texture is more gritty. It dries pretty quick (overnight to be safe) and can be sanded down afterwards. Other than that, short of putting fire to it, I hope I never have to test whether it works as described.
