Got this as a gift for someone. it is not what the picture looks like or the description and it came in a little bag. It looks like it came from a quarter machine wow!

I used the product exactly according to the directions on brand new 100 percent cotton Kuhl shorts and pants and shorts from Fresh Produce, and a top from a boutique store, all 100 percent cotton expensive clothes, not Walmart or Target (maybe would have been better off) and they bled like crazy with rinsing after and then after hand washing them in cool water with detergent for colored items, they continue to bleed after every wash. Don't waste your time and money on these two Retayne dye fixative products. Buy another brand. The company doesn't stand behind their products telling me they never had one complaint in 30 years, ha. And she said the warranty is for 30 days. Ridiculous. It shouldn't matter when or where it was purchased. I bought it and didn't even use it for several months or more. If it doesn't work it, no matter when you bought it or where, and you have had zero complaints, then refund the one customer in thirty years who had complained. The co-owner was very condescending and defensive. Never again.

I always prewash my batiks in Retayne before using them in quilts. I have not had any fading or color bleed. I won’t sew with batiks without Retayne and I use batiks a lot!

I bought red sheets at the store for a twin bed,& boy did they ever bleed. My mom a quilter always used salt or vinegar on fabric to stop bleeding before sewing different colors together. So I tried it & everything else that was suggested,the sheets where fading fast & making everything they came in contact with pink even the marble sink. I had never heard of this stuff, but I sure am glad I tried it. It did take two washes in the Retayne to work, and when you toss a color catcher sheet in the wash it still does come out the faintest shade of pink. But when you think of how bad the bleeding was & how many things failed, well this stuff is amazing. Without it the boys would be sleeping on pink sheets by now with equally pink pjs. Thanks to Retayne the sheets are still red and their pjs stay the same color as they where when they crawled between the sheets to dream.

This product is amazing! I used it on 3 fabrics, red, blue and black. They will be part of a quilt with a white background. After treating the fabrics I washed the red one with a few white towels. There was no color bleeding!! I’m a believer.
