I thought i was purchasing full 3 inch collector. It is 3 inches at the ball and socket but reduces to 2 1/2 not 3 inches (outlet) to weld up to 3 inch exhaust. Apparently the wrong part got it the right box. Return and re-order 3 inch flange. Re-ordered and was sent same part number 21119. This one has 3 inch outlet.
After mounting the kit to the engine, it gushed oil. The gasket supplied with the kit isn't thick enough to seal the oil filter. Do not see how it could be installed any other way. The bolts supplied with the kit were the wrong size so had to reuse the original bolts. The problem with reusing the original bolts is that they have a cap on them that would now allow the bolt to seat to the adapter. Had to grind the cap to allow clearance on the adapter. Completely a waste of money in my opinion.
The reducer tube is too large to bolt onto the header. You will have to use smaller diameter bolts. Additionally the bolts that the kit came with are very short and you can’t put lockwashers on them. Just put those bolts aside and buy other bolts that are a little smaller in diameter and a little longer so that you can put lockwashers on and so that everything will line up for the installation.

Good quality, works great. Just buy metal inlay gaskets. They last longer and not prone to leak. Just like your header gaskets use metal inlay.

Needed to mate a new 3" downpipe to the stock cat and this reducer works perfectly when welded to the cat after cutting off the old soda straw stock VW downpipe. Super easy bolt-up.
