This worked great for our 6 month old on our hikes in Colorado. He even napped in it while we were hiking. The material is good quality, sun/wind shields worked well and kept him covered and the sun off of his face, he was comfortable in it and strapped down well so it felt safe, storage area for diapers, bottles, snacks, etc. I found it + him to be a bit too heavy for myself to carry any long distance on my back but his dad had no troubles. I don’t really have any complaints.
I wanted to like this product and it didn’t work out for me. My toddler at the time I used it was to hike a 2mile walk; he was 32lbs. I hiked perhaps 15mins when I was getting tired. I do a lot of hikes and I was using a soft Lillebaby bagpack style which is amazing because I do not feel tired nor discomfort, but I wanted this hike style carrier (I wanted to upgrade). It was bad! My shoulders were hurting the weight of my toddler was pulling me back it was very uncomfortable. I handed over the carrier to my husband and he felt the same discomfort carrying our toddler. The features, like the little bag-pack or the bottom pocket is nice. The fabrics; not the greatest quality, it’s an inexpensive polyester. So sadly I had to return it.

I'm a avid walker/hiker/ active person. I hate fussing with strollers and reaching for a hand when the mini-we wants to be independent. I chose this carrier for the compact easy-to-use design. I have hiking bag for big trips but it is so big and doesn't fold down. This bag collapses and stores very easily. It is light weight. My kiddo seems very cozy in it. It has the best pockets! Two bottle holders, a hip pouch big enough to fit my Galaxy phone, a zippered pouch below the seat (that fit diapers snacks, wipes,extra clothes easily) and a mess pocket up top. The sun shade doubles as a rain cover. I mean...this is the best bag there is for price, design, weight, comfort. Just. Buy. It.

We searched for the best one as we hike often. It's great!! I can switch to my husband very easily and out daughter looks very comfortable.
Fits husband and he’s a big guy and baby 12 pounds. Baby enjoyed the view. Just got it and haven’t gone on a real ‘hike’ so can’t rate it 100% yet.

Bought this on amazon a couple days prior from our trip. It arrived in time. This is our first hiking carrier so my review is based off this item experience only. My husband said it was very comfortable and easy to figure out how to strap our child in. Our child in the pic is 1 years old and is a bit in the smaller side. She didn't show any signs of discomfort during our trip. She actually fell asleep in it. However, we wish she was able to sit up higher so she can looking around above my husband's head. Also, the rain guards that was attach to the hood does not have a way to strap up when not in use. I had to fiddle with it to keep it put away. Besides that it was a great buy. The fabric on the pouches feels a little cheap. I wouldn't plan on carrying anything heavy in it.
Came day late, very poorly manufactured. We were unable to take on the hike as one of the plastic buckles snap very 1st day. And the seller wasn’t too happy about having to return the money.
I highly recommend. Lots of storage and our 10 month old loves it
