I bought two of these two gauge the humidity in two rooms are two different humidifiers. So I would swap both hygrometers and guess what? I got two different readings. I also put this in a bathroom which gets quite cold at night, especially when the landlord turns off the heat. The thermometer portion read 70°. Even that doesn't work well.

As others have stated, the humidity level is about 15% lower than actual value. Verified with several other humidstats. Only the temperature is reliable for this device.
Well I only gave it like three stars for the accuracy because I don't know how accurate it is I've never had one of these RH% for humidity before !
This is giving very strange readings- not accurate at all. It doesn’t change even when I move the item to the window or nearer to the humidifier. It doesn’t update itself either. The display isn’t backlit so you can see it at night. This is going back.
