Used to evacuate mini split lines and external gauges showed over 29" Hg of vacuum. Ran for 30 minutes and not the slightest concern of overheating... ran cool. Like all oil pumps, this one will exhaust oil until the vacuum builds (no more air evacuating) and then there is no perceptible discharge. I still just put a rag over the exhaust to wick up whatever might come out. Again... free running this will exhaust a lot of oil due to the nature of the pump design and the CFM... this is 5 cfm. Pumps with lower CFM rating will not exhaust so much oil while free running, but why would you free run a vacuum pump??

the big 5 gallon container arrived in good condition but the pump arrived defective and make a lot of noise ( the cost to ship it back is more then i payed for it so dont take any chance and order only the container and the pump in your country of destination

There are little things you need to know. I think it is a good value; there are certainly more expensive ones. I won't be using it everyday, (only occasionally) so that factored into my decision.
