I have lived in Morocco for almost two years during four separate assignments. for the Fuller Company. I love the culture, the land, it's people and their foods. I ate Merguez sausage at least once a week. I love it. I have made my own which is very close to what i ate when in Tamara, Rabat, Sidi Ifni and Agadir. This purchase was a complete waste of money. It isn't even close in texture and does not come close to the wonderful blend of spice and herbs. Do not buy this bogus product.

When I saw this item, it looked soooo good that I couldn't wait to try it. In my enthusiasm, I foolishly did not read the ingredients label and ordered the meal. When it arrived, I had it for dinner; and I totally enjoyed my dinner.. Unfortunately, later on that evening, the upset stomach started. That's when I decided to read the ingredients which included soy. I was planning to order more of the varied meals available. Due to the soy content I have given this product 4 out of 5 stars. If there is any way that the recipe can be changed to eliminate the soy for those of us who have digestive issues, I would be very happy to re-order the Beef & Lamb as well as try the Beef with Cabbage and the Chicken Cholent.

Great flavor but do not bite down too hard. I just tell my guests that til I find a different brand that will not crack a tooth.
I found this “meal” to be tasteless & a big disappointment. Also it took the combined efforts of my husband & I to wrench off the white covering - it was so difficult & clung to the container as if it had been soldered on. I will not buy this again.
