I have severe dry eye syndrome due to autoimmune disease and aging. PUnctal plugs were placed in my tear ducts by my opthamologist and offer some relief but didn't eliminate the dry eye irritation at night. I'd tried cleaning my eyes with baby shampoo and q tips and placing heated wet wash cloths over my eyes with some success, but still had blood shot eyes every morning due to dryness irritation. My ophthalmologist suggested I try a dry bead eye mask that I heat in the microwave, retaine eye drops, and ocusoft lid scrub. I have both these wipes and their pump bottle. I use the bottle in the shower and the wipes after I remove my makeup. When I travel I just bring these wipes with me. They are convenient, small, and individually wrapped in a foil pouch. To economize I tear one wipe in half and save the other half in the pouch for the next day by folding over the foil. The foil pouch makes it much easier to take with me when I travel than taking the bottle. I find that these help take the last remnants of my makeup off. This includes mascara and eyeliner that requires special makeup remover. I do not use them to remove all my makeup as it would take more than one wipe. I find that for the most part I can maintain my dry eyes comfort using just these lid scrubs, Retaine eye drops, and various eye ointments at night. When my eyes get uncomfortable I add back in the heated eye masks and sleep with an eye mask. I've bought these several times and highly recommend them to anyone with dry eye issues.
