I suspect there was a mis-communication. I ordered 1 set of 12, but received 1. Over $100 for one mini-cutter seems way overpriced.
I was really, really disappointed when I received my shipment. This box cutter is way too small to be useful for cutting down boxes after restocking a retail store. And I bought a dozen to pass out as stocking stuffers at Christmas! I WAS WRONG! This is a great little box cutter and the guys and gals both liked it as it does the job and easily tucks away in their pocket when not being used. The lock seems a little flimsy, but it does the job.

This is a GREAT box cutter considering that I’m not dealing with a “metal” blade!! The porcelain cuts right through the taped boxes with ease!! I was so impressed I bought two more! So handy and the back side is magnetic, good to hang on a metal drawer.

This is the third Slice-brand ceramic blade cutter I have owned. The first was one with a small nub exposed that works great for cutting out coupons and, in some cases, slicing packaging tape. I've had that one for about 10 years and it still works well. Then about five years ago I bought their J-shaped "box cutter", which I use for.. cutting boxes in the garage. It too works very well and shows no signs of dulling. This mini-knife is sort of a compromise between the other two. It is small and, like the paper slicer, has a magnet that allows it to hang on my refrigerator door. The blade extends more, though, making it much more efficient opening packages and general cutting. I like that the blade is reversible and that you can have it extend out the other side for lefties, but the packaging left it unclear as to how to open it! There is a small slide lock on the non-blade end, clearly marked. Once you slide it to the unlocked position, pry apart the housing from that end, exposing the blade. You can then reverse, exchange or move the blade to the other side. When reassembling, be sure to put the blade-end together first as it has a small tab and slot, then squeeze the halves together and slide the lock closed. The tip of the supplied blade is rounded, so it is less likely to hurt you accidentally. You can buy a blade with a sharper point. Like the other Slice cutters, this one works very well, and I expect the blade to remain sharp for a very long time.

Opens smoothly with a thumb-stroke and slices into plastic or heavy paper card-stock envelopes efficiently with its small, ceramic blade. Easy to close and small to store. Not really sharp or heavy-duty enough for heavier cardboard boxes (you'll want a real metal boxcutter for those jobs) but will easily slice through tape to open most packaging. Seems reasonably sturdy and is very handy. Price point (currently $9.99) seems a little high for what it is.
