I have not bought a more expensive cable to compare sound quality yet, but I am connecting to a Behringer Ultravoice Xm8500 Dynamic Vocal Microphone, and the plug will not insert far enough into the microphone to allow the cable lock to engage into the microphone. Does not appear to effect the sound, but more of a nuisance than anything. I expect a product to do everything it is designed to do, and one of those things is to lock into place.

Someone else said it was cheap and had a picture of this cable being broken but mine still hasn't broken and it works for my MXL 770 so if you want to use an mlx 770 this will work.

Service was great, but I have just discovered that the cables have a Pin 1 to clip jumper, which causes hum in my set-up. Probably fixable with a soldering iron.

Cable connections are not nearly as nice as other brands. They don't "click" in nicely when connected. As a pro musician the last thing I want to do is fight with mic cables during set up. Next time I will spend a little more money for a better product.
