This item was defective and a Standard US Passport does not fit. I sent photos and the retailer refused a refund. The retailer, was at all times, dismissive and unhelpful, intoning the passport should fit very tight... however, this item would damage the Passport if I force it in. He then said it should fit in the slots on both sides and open like a book... even this left the passport holder not closing properly. This should not be difficult! I ended up buying a simple leather Passport Holder at Walmart for $10, that fits fine. Go figure. NOTE: Several other reviews mention this item does not fit a Standard US Passport.

I love the ability to customize the cover to my personality. It turned out better than I could imagine. Definitely worth the wait and I highly recommend.
This is a brilliant passport holder. I purchased four for me, my wife, and two young children. Due to the inability of the seller to offer their own customization, I decided I would do it myself. From the pictures, you can tell this is a pretty basic, no gimmicks, bells, or whistles, passport holder. Exactly what I wanted. Plain and simple. The leather is the best and the craftsmanship is outstanding. The leather will provide a lifetime of protection and will age nicely as this leather does. I’m waiting for the other three items to arrive before I apply my own leather stamping to it. Not sure why I only received one, the other three are coming in a different shipment. For the price- $12.99- you cannot beat this. This item is worth the $50 that other, less qualified items are asking.
I don't really like it cause it's a little Big for my passport. Its over fit my passport while it's in the case & get larger unable to put it in my pocket. Then I can see a small case online that's even cheaper that'll fit my passport better.

Great Quality. Looks great. The design is slightly more towards the left than center. However, it doesnt fit field notes like it states in the description. Also the card holder slots are on the inside back cover instead of the front inside cover. Very disappointed in the miss lead description of the item.
I bought this as a gift. It’s made well of nice leather. But it seems a little flimsy, i didn’t take in to consideration it was not lined with anything. Decided to keep it anyway and passport fits in it securely, it is a tight fit. I like that it is simple, holds the passport and possibly something else under the other side. I didn’t want one with room for credit cards, pens or plastic windows. This works just fine for my husband.
