I've been buying this Pecorino Romano for years and it is my favorite italian cheese. I even put it on popcorn! The cheese is delivered with an ice pack, styrofoam container and vacuum packed. I cut the cheese into smaller pieces and vacuum pack the pieces before putting them in the freezer. I like this brand of Romano because it has a full flavor and doesn't appear to be as salty. I even eat it just all by its self.
This product is excellent quality, compared with a similar product available in my local grocery store (... I'm not a connoisseur of Italian hard cheeses by any stretch). It's a little more expensive, but I think it's money well spent. 2lbs is quite a lot as well and will last for a good while (I just use it for making small batches of cacio e pepe). The seller ships it with cooling pouches in an insulated envelope, within a box. The first shipment went missing over the Christmas/New Year holidays, and the shipper was very accommodating to send out a replacement under 2-day delivery. Kudos.
This chunk of pecorino romano is quite good, the expected taste true to the variety. I have tried it with spaghetti and bowtie pastas and found it blends with the dish and enhances the flavor. It is exactly what I would expect with this variety of cheese. I enjoy it.

I was raised of this cheese, glad I found a supplier. It arrived packaged well, but the small ice pack doesn't cut it. FedEx doesn't even bother to knock like they use to, so I'm sure it out there a 2 hours. I unpacked it put it the refrig.

Locatelli is definitely the best brand for Pecorino Romano cheese. We use it in all our pasta dishes. It adds so much flavor. It is good for vegetables too. We prefer it over Parmigiano Reggiano.
