The navy is a good shade (so many different shades of navy!), and the fit is good around the hips - it will be perfect with a jacket or sweater, and can be dressed up easily as a basic dress. The material is not see through or flimsy. Will hold up very well for travel!

Misleading sizing! I selected 18-24 months, but the product received today is 24 months and looks big. Now I'm not sure whether these will or will not fit my daughter when the cooler months come, October, November, December and January (in California). Fabric feels nice. The dresses are exactly how they are pictured. The only complaint about them would be that they run a little smaller than the size on tag. I’d order one size up especially if you plan to dry them in dryer (low-med.)I ordered a 4-5yr for my grand daughter and could’ve gone up a size. She’s on the taller side of 4 yr old.
My daughter fits the age appropriate size for Carter's sizing. I LOVE these dresses, but ALWAYS have to order a size up in order to make sure the length makes the dress appropriate to wear and modest. For example: She will wear a comfortable 2T in Carter's & it fits perfectly. I have to order a 3T in these dresses so the dress is long enough to cover everything for the season. In a pinch, I've added some cotton bike shorts or leggings from Target to stretch a size so it's still decent. Hope this helps with sizing. Haven't had any trouble with colors bleeding (we use Shout Color Guard sheets though.) Dresses show normal wear and tear. These make great play dresses.
