It's convenient to have because I use the heck out of my instant pot and it's nice to be able to use this without having to clean the pot I've already used. The other day I made applesauce in one pot while putting together the rice pudding ingredients in this pot. As soon as the applesauce was done, I plopped this pot into the instant pot and voila, two things done! It is NOT, however, non-stick. I've made plain chicken and you have to scrub and scrub and scrape and scrub residue off the pot. I've made rice and have to soak and scrub the residue out of the pot. Everything I've made has stuck and needed to be scraped and scrubbed out of this pot. So if you use your instant pot a lot there is a benefit in having the 2nd pot but NO advantage for the non-stick feature. It sticks like crazy and be aware that the bottom is thin so burning/sticking stuff will be on the bottom!
I'm newer to the Instant Pot craze, but like most people I truly love the device. This ceramic inner pot is an absolute dream because it's non-stick AND only costs $14.95 for the 3QT model. Cleaning it is a breeze. I have nothing but positive feelings about it's value and performance. I've used it over a two dozen times already.

When I made an Instant Pot lentil soup recipe, the dishwasher could not get it cleaned. Food was stuck to the entire bottom. I soaked the pan on and off for several days. Even after three soaks and three scrub,the food was still firmly stuck. I tried the dishwasher again (I use Platinum Cascade) with little success. DON'T buy this accessory! The quality seems to vary greatly from pot to pot.
