I like the view and clarity. Overall a light helmet and easy to adjust. The head retention system is where it fails. Less than two weeks of casual use and it's already snapped at the back where the rocker plate mounts. Unable to fix and fairly thin and weak plastic. I guess I'll glue the foam pad on but it definitely affects comfort.

I weld anodized aluminum in a shop all day so far im impressed its been 4 days so far ! My only complaints wpuld be boxing is too small so they sides were poking my ears for a few days at first also no bag not a big deal but .... Now on to the view its awsome im not sure if its being so clear or what but I was worried about getting flash burn since im in shade 13(max) and it seems bright still with that said my eyes seem fine for the time being in usually run around 11 so im not sure if its just the clearness of it because it meets all standards im sure time will tell either way im loving it this far!!

I am overall happy with this helmet. I have used it for a week at work as a welder/fabricator. Out of the box as usual head fitting needs to be adjusted and shade settings need to be adjusted. I’m not sure how others say they broke the adjustment knob for head figment but it’s well made with the one I have. Soft foam fabric to rest on the forehead and back of the head came with the helmet which is nice to have. The only complaint about fitment and comfort is the pivot points on the inside are pushing on my temples which is not comfortable. After a week it is less but still tight. I believe the box it was in has forced the helmet to flex inward. maybe over time it will improve? I simply put some foam tape I have to address this issue. I have had no other issues, the true view lens is amazing, I can see clearly. With the hood up, it locks backwards enough that the hood doesn’t drop when I’m setting up. Shade adjustment is simple. Never had a darkening issue or delay. I can fit my respirator comfortably inside when doing stainless as there is adjustment for how forward the helmet sits from your face. Cleaning is simple. Two tabs to remove the lens and clean or replace as needed. I hope this review helps someone who wants well covered review of this product. I was skeptical of a 80 dollar helmet, but well worth it. The helmet I’m replacing cost me $150 years ago and is smaller lens/green view and cheaper head fitment adjustments. I am happy to see the quality and features improving with this lower cost hood.

Haven't put the helmet to use yet. Quality of construction of the helmet seems good for the cost of the helmet. Looking forward to my next project to see how it performs. Much better construction than the last inexpensive helmet that I purchased from Harbor freight.

Plenty of options for a cheap hood and the large view window is great
Have only used the welding helmet a few weeks and overall like it so far but do not like the headband. Also the hood keeps creeping down regardless of how tight the knobs are set. Got this helmet mainly because it offers four different sensors but have not gotten into a position to see it will stay dark regardless of the arc being blocked that allows the lens to change.

I’m a 71 year old welder, I have had two automatic hood before & paid a lot of money to get one that was easier to see through when off so I can put the electrode where I want. Years ago they did well but as I get older the lights are getting dimmer, I just can’t see without lots of light. When I tried this hood there was almost no difference with the hood turned off or not having it on my head. I can finely see again, I love it.
