Phew, am I glad I purchased these! I have a 2009 Mazda 6 with brand new snow tires, and still managed to get stuck during the back-2-back blizzards of 2010. I used them 3x in the same night to get me out of sticky situations. I highly recommend these to anyone living in an area hit by snow (whether you get an inch at a time, or 2ft). For the price, you can't go wrong. I liked them so much, that I ordered another set for my other car. Believe me, you're floor mats will do nothing for you compared to these!
I guess the price was low, because they expect you to buy new ones every time you use them. These aren't really long enough to be anything more than missiles once your tire grips one and the plastic isn't flexible so they break, even if you slightly try bending them by hand- let alone with the weight of a car on them.

Broke the first time I used it on packed snow. Plastic is too thin and doesn't have enough traction on the ground side allowing them to fly from under the wheels, as other reviewers described.
Great for recovery, got me out when I had like 8 inches of snow. Make sure to put in front of the wheels that are stuck not behind lol. If it doesnt work shovel out snow and try diffrent wheels around the car untill you get out.
