This set isn't intended for a deep, thorough cleaning, so I wouldn't use it on an album I just bought used and has years of dust and grime in its grooves. There are products specifically for that, and opinions very on what's best. This set comes with a brush and some cleaning fluid for getting the visible dust that always appears between plays off your record. There's also a little brush and a little gel for cleaning the stylus. A little of that goes a long way. You get that and a case to store it for a decent price.

The pad/brush cleaner would be great if the plastic handle didn't come off every time I flip it to use the other side. Otherwise, it seems to clean the albums of surface dust adequately (does not deep clean). Stylus cleaner seems to work fine, can't vouch that's it's eliminating static. The stand works fine. (edit: the brand name rubbed off after about 1 week of use, reflecting more on the poor quality of this brush).
