I bought this to cover stairs to protect the carpeting form my cats.... this is incredibly thin, even doubling up the fabric and it doesn't protect anything. It feels like rough felt and is much thinner, and tears easily, doesn't stay in place even with carpentry nails. would not buy again, waste of money and time.

Did not really work well on my older carpet - difficult to manage and doesn’t look great - the pictures make it look better than it looks in real life
I purchased this to cover the carpeted stairs to keep dirty dog paws from getting carpet soiled. Figure it will be easier to wash the carpet protector than the stairs. I have not washed it yet, but it is sticking well to carpeted stairs and I plan on ordering more.
Not at all as expected. I took it off the stairs only one time and since then it will not stay on place at all. Literally is only a piece of felt that moves when stepped on It actually is unsafe as it moves and wraps on your foot while you walk on the stairs. Stay away
