Having just purchased an Apple iPhone 14, I wanted to update my accessories to take advantage of the Magsafe system for charging. While I have used wireless charging stands for years, I found them aggravating as you have to place the phone just right in order for things to charge properly. With Magsafe, you just pop the phone on the disk and it centers itself. I recommend getting Syncwire stand with the charging block included to take advantage of the extra wattage. I got this one without and had to order a separate block. The design on this stand is quite simple, but elegant. It looks really nice and takes up a small footprint. I do wish it was bit heavier. When you pick up the phone it lifts up the stand wit the phone, so it takes two hands to pull it off. I liked this stand so much I've ordered two more!
As with most of these magnetic chargers marketed for iPhones, this is actually “just” a Qi charger with a built-in ring of magnets that happens to be correctly positioned to give good magnetic attachment for MagSafe iPhones. It’s not a MagSafe charger, as it doesn’t do the proprietary signaling that MagSafe does. That said, it has great aesthetics. And compared to the official Apple MagSafe charger, you’re paying about half for more than half the functionality. The real-world hit to charging times when you’re limited to 7.5W isn’t as much as you’d think. MagSafe may offer a 15W maximum, but it turns out that’s far from a 15W average. An extra 30-45 minutes to charge from 0-100% isn’t too bad, and wireless charging is already something you do only during normal circumstances. When you need as much charge as quickly as possible, you reach for a charging cable. For what it’s worth, I tested this charger with a 30W USB-PD wall adapter, USB test equipment, an iPhone 14 Pro Max, an iPhone 14 Pro, and a Pixel 7 Pro. For the iPhones, I measured 10W being drawn from the port, which is consistent with 7.5W being delivered to the phone after factoring in the loss inherent to inductive charging. With the Pixel 7 Pro, I measured 12W from the port, or about 10W after inductive loss. I’ve seen the Pixel 7 Pro do its maximum of 12.5W after inductive loss with other magnetic chargers, so I suppose this one just doesn’t support that Qi mode for whatever reason. That’s fine, as this charger isn’t really suitable for use with anything but a MagSafe iPhone. I’m sure third-party MagSafe chargers are coming en masse in the future, but they aren’t here yet. Until then, you aren’t losing much by choosing a MagSafe-compatible Qi charger, and this is one of the best-looking of the bunch.
Another day passes as technology bites at the heels of humanities incessant need for improvement. In front of us, a wall of USB-A and B Chargers, converting electricity into forms useable by "modern" technology. But behind us, a tsunami of USB-C cables yearning for a place to call home. But they don't have any. I think all products using a USBC cable should come with something that plugs into the wall for the next 5 years until we all have way too many chargers than we need, and we can go back to selling plugless products. I didn't know this was the case, so I ordered a USB-C to Outlet plug, which I supposed I'd have to do someday. Anyway, *steps off of soapbox* - It works fine. I like how magnetic it is - it feels stable. I like how it's always looking at me. I like how it charges my phone through its case. Overall 10/10. ACTUALLY 9 out of 10, because the cable is built into the hardware. Products like this should be able to have the cord switched out, but this one it's impossible. If you have a cat that eats the cord, you need to buy the product all over again, you can't just plug in a new cord.
I got a two different wireless stands, one each for my desks at the office and home, and a mount for my car. I have been evaluating and testing them. Firstly, as some know, and some do not, MagSafe has two features: one is wireless charge ability and rate, and the other is magnetic adhesion of smartphone to an accessory. One of the stands, this one, did both wireless charging and also magnetically held the phone. The other stand charged wirelessly but held the stand by means of a small ledge and gravity. At first I thought the non-magnetic stand was of lower value/utility. But I soon realized that this Syncwire stand which holds magnetically, requires two hands to pick up the phone -- one hand to grab the phone, and one to hold the charging mount so the two could be separated. So -- for me -- I found I want the magnetic hold in a car mount, because it facilitates one handed operation, but not in a desk-mount since it prevents one-handed operation. This is not a defect. Rather it is something the buyer may consider. This stand also offers no Airpod, wirless earpod, charging. Nor does it have watch, such as Apple Watch charging. Not a defect either, but many such stands have this. There is one aspect I do consider a design defect. The cord is integrated meaning when it fails the device is junk. And even more problematic, by saving a few nickels, and using integrated hardwired, and short, 3' power cord, if your power supply/charger is on the floor this think is next to useless since you have no slack to position it. If it had a jack, you could simply pick a 6' cable to use with it. The other main function, charging, works fine. I am getting the full 15 watts.
The type "c" USB wire makes this not as compatible with out current standard type USB power supplies that we have. We did have a device for the type C, so it wasn't a total waste, as we can use it in the house, but not a device I would take to travel with. Probable would be best to obtain the proper power supply that is small enough to take along. The device charged very rapidly and that was a welcomed surprise. the biggest overall issue is, the unit is very light and any sudden movement or bump of the devise you are charging caused it to fall over, causing the the device to disconnect and charging would stop. Be sure to keep it away from table or counter edges just incase it does tip over.

This stand is super nice, I have other mag safe chargers but they are flat and I often cant use them when facetiming or on my computer where I need to also use my phone. This allows my phone to charge while giving it a functional stand which I love. I like the size and how it doesnt take up more space than it needs to and it is sleek and looks nice.

This is a great charging stand for the bedside table, it holds the phone and charges fantastically. The magnets are not super strong though, so if you bump the table with a hip or hit the phone accidentally it will fall off. Other than that it’s great!
