Seller photos inaccurate / not clear, should have read the description more. It is not an acrylic tray as it appears in the photos but white “alligator” material. Appears very cheap, if it was any more then the $19 I paid I would return it.

This plate is genius! What a fun way of getting a picky child to not only eat their meal, but try new things. Seeing a pile of a "new" food on his plate always gets met with prompt refusal from my son, but with this adorable tray "just one square" isn't a big deal and he's more willing to try new things! The tray comes with a cover for the last square that you can hide a variety of things in, from small trinkets to little desserts. My son has fun making his way across the board to get to the surprise at the end. The tray itself is made of melamine which is very sturdy, dishwasher safe, yet not super heavy. It's perfect! The illustrations on the plate are bright and cheerful and my son and I both love the superhero theme to the plate I ordered. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about this plate. It's a truly great product that I highly recommend for every picky eater / child who is resistant to trying new foods. Amazing product!

GORGEOUS! Just what I wanted! It is a beautiful, quality-looking tray with a waterproof(-or resistant) synthetic material in a shiny croco print. Lovely! I don't yet know how this will hold up (without dulling or scratching, etc) for the long term, but its perfect for my "not-too-often" entertainment purposes.
