Sales, a key metric of costs and profits for any business, is the most intuitive and accessible data. With established social media platforms and advertising channels providing detailed insight in regards to website traffic, understanding consumer sentiment--i.e., volume--is one of the more challenging areas to analyze. Volume refers how people express their opinions on our brand's products/services/marketing efforts via various touchpoints; these voices come together as an aggregate that can tell us what consumers need or expect from us – why consumers make purchases with us over others.

Excellent optical component for very basic lab experiments.
This is a cheap spectrometer and you get what you pay for. This is not a bad thing if you realize this from the get go. If you plan on doing detailed spectroscopy, splurge your money elsewhere. The slit is a mm or two wide, making the spectral bands also a mm or two wide. This corresponds to a relatively wide wavelength variation of about 20-30nm. The wavelength scale also needs to back lit making reading a source in the dark troublesome. As stated these "problems" should be realized from the get go. It is cheap, but does separate the radiation into its constituents while providing a rough scale to take measurements from. This leads to a person being able to get hours of learning from this product, all at an affordable price.

The gears seemed to be kind of rounded. When I replaced the old gears with these, the printer was better, but still slipped.

Considering the cost and some of the recent 2020 & 2021 reviews, I’d thought this might be a gamble. And I lost. The internal components in the scope I received aren’t satisfactory for their intended use. + Arrived well packaged, looks very sleek and heavy duty. - Focusing adjustments are unable to compensate for the interference from the scuffed lenses and the chipped internal prism. The chipped prism is visible through the lens. It isn’t reparable, and would have to be replaced. The scuffed lenses would require disassembly and polishing or replacement (the most prominent scuff is on the objective’s interior). - Observable spectrum is blurry under all focusing adjustments/conditions with this scope. - The entirety of the spectrum has a sigmoidal bend directly through the center. Could be due to the ridges in the adjustable slit and/or an unpolished side of one of the internal prisms. Overall - a $$pendy and disappointing purchase. Not recommended. I’m going to aim much lower in both price and expectations and will try out one of the $7.99 Eisco spectrometers.

more like a toy than a serious instrument. but this is good enough to get a General Idea of what the light spectrum looks like from different light sources. if I didn't already know what I was looking at I think it would be difficult to learn from this. for homeschooling or classroom use it would be better to get one with a scale. even if the scale was somewhat inaccurate it would at least give you a ballpark indication. with this one it is entirely up to your knowledge of what to expect in order to interpret what you are seeing. I wanted to compare some LED lighting to some florescent and incandescent lighting. it was good enough for that but only just barely.

Very well-made. Precision instrument. It also gives me great satisfaction to know this is the same type of spectrometer that CV Raman carried around in his pocket on his days off.

I included a picture so you can see the size of the instrument compared to my hand. It corresponds to the middle spectrascope shown in Liddicoats Gem Book. The instrument is hefty, sturdy and well made. It is made in India and comes in a padded wooden box. They ship DHL with a signature required. Well packaged and safely shipped.
