The cuts were not cuts I would have chosen in person- two whole chunks were pure fat: contained a lot of tendon and grizzle, small amount of actual beef.
Paying too much for poorly trimmed meat. I spent too much time trimming away excessive fat & silver connective tissue & tendon.
I had to remove about ½ lb fat, gristle, other non-meat elements from every piece. Round doesn't have that much, it might have been from another cut of beef. Barely had enough stew to serve to me guests. Good thing I overdid the carrots, potatoes, and peas! Nothing like the photo.
