Glad to find this styptic pencil. Like the slim shape. One warning, the tube it comes in is not sturdy but this is not much of a problem.
I recently went back to wet shaving with a safety razor in an effort to stop giving my hard earned money to Gilette to get more and more blades per cartridge at prices which are more than what people make in one day in many parts of the world. Naturally, I suffered a lots of nicks and cuts while I learned the painful lesson that a safety razor can not be hurried and wandering around with 4+ pieces of toilet paper on my face was just not something I was willing to do :). This pencil works very well to immediately stop the bleeding (even though it stings a bit) and should last you for years unless you have the habit of shaving while drunk. Best of all, the price (including shipping) is eminently reasonable.
Always great to use and must need for anyone wet shaving with a safety razor. You can not beat the price for what you get. Thanks Clubman

Tried it on a cut. Took a long time to do anything. You could use a bandaid or use pressure or tp and get same result in my opinion. But i do bleed a bit with cuts. Save your money!

This was my first styptic pencil. I really works great! It definitely stings, but stops the blood of minor cuts when shaving. If you're looking at this, you ought to switch away from those cartridge razors that hurt your face and wallet! This is a great accessory for your new shaving kit. Just dip the tip in warm water and touch the bleeding place; take the sting and there is no more blood flowing!
I like to keep a supply of First Aid items on hand in my classroom at school, and styptic pencils are one of the things I like to keep. This is a brand with which I am very familiar, so I was very happy to see it offered on Amazon. It's a great product and does what it's supposed to do--stop minor bleeding.

I received the styptic pencil along with several other items I purchased to upgrade my wet shave routine. The pencil is a good size and fits unobtrusively in my dopp bag. I have yet to have the need to use it since I use an alum block and witch hazel after shaving but I would still recommend having one for travel.
These are absolutely the best for stopping the bleeding from small cuts. I remember my father using it for shaving nicks when I was young. A terrific product,I wish more people knew about it.
