Overall, I love this vacuum. Is that enough of a review? Probably not. Let me explain. First of all, and so perfect balance of size and weight. Not too heavy, but a why enough suction area that it covers plenty of floor space. Second, suction is outstanding. As long as you adjust the height to match your floor or your pile depth, disable pretty much anything up. I've used it on areas that I vacuumed with other vacuums 20 minutes earlier, and it still gets a ton of dirt and pet hair up. Third, I love retractable cords. I love them more than I can tell you. After I'm done vacuuming, The last thing I want to do is wine the corn around and around and around those silly little pegs. Being able to step on one button and have the cord snap into the unit is a great thing. Complaints are fairly minor. You can't turn off the brush motor, which always sort of bothers me when I use it on a bare floor, though in this case it's caused me no issues. Second, the pet hair suction thing is more of a gimmick than anything useful. It's driven by suction, and while the suction is excellent snd gets the brushes spinning nicely, once you push it down onto a sofa cushion it pretty much stops the brushes from moving unless you just touch it lightly. I've never seen these work very well, and the current one is no exception. Finally, I wish the stick that you put on the end of the hose when you want to use it as a handheld was a bit longer. I find myself having to bend over a bit more than I'd like to. But that's it for complaints. I've been good about not overfilling the chamber, cleaning the filter regularly, generally taking proper care of it per the instructions. And you know what? The instructions work. This thing hasn't lost suction and still runs like a champion. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this unit. The complaints are far outweighed by the excellent performance. A winner.

I'm always hesitant to buy a vacuum because you never know what you're going to get, but this one is awesome. It's quiet, light weight and the automatic cord wrapper is the best invention ever!
I have two German shedders I mean shepherds and this thing sucks it allllll up. I do have to empty the canister frequently however I have a very large living room and they are year round super shedders. This vacuum is for us pet people for sure
Vacuum breaks within less than 6months
I'm not one that writes a lot of reviews, but after using this vacuum for the first time ever, I'm compelled to do so now. I have two dogs, a dogo argentino and a German shepherd. Both dogs shed like crazy! The dog's fur is short and works its way into the weaving of carpets and is very hard to get up. Vacuuming had never worked, I've had to use a rubber squeegee and basically rake my rugs to get his fur up. This is a nightmare of a work out! So I went surfing for something better, I found this vacuum and based on the price and the reviews, I decided to take a chance and try it. Boy am I glad I did! I will try to attach pictures of my area rug, which is right by the dog food bowls. This vacuum has picked up more fur in one stroke, then I could in 15 minutes with the squeegee. I'm amazed, impressed, and just so so so so so happy!! Thank you Bissell!
So far I am really pleased with this vacuum. It is lightweight, has great suction, not terribly loud and runs smooth as silk. I don't know what its longevity will be (it seems things don't last too long these days) but - as a new item - it is performing beautifully.
