Love the shelf, perfect size for my microwave, nice quality and have had several compliments on it. Would have liked it even more, if there was a hole cut out for the plug, but I suppose, not everyone would need one. To solve my problem, I bought a circular, metal-cutting drill bit, from the local hardware store, that was slightly bigger than the plug on the microwave and it didn't require too much effort to drill a hole. (The trick is, to let the drill bit do the work for you - don't need to put a lot of pressure on the drill and the hole comes out pretty clean. A little sand paper to take off any sharp edge and that's it!).

First things first, The measurements provided are accurate. It fit PERFECTLY into this space I had between cabinets on my rental kitchen wall. I needed this to put a microwave on, to allow for more counter space. I was able to drill through it to pass the cord through. It was actually pretty difficult to cut through, but that only made me feel more pleased with my purchase, as it was proof of the metal being quality material. It also came with those peeling blue sticker barrier on, to protect from scratching. Easy to clean as well!
