Great & powerful beyond expectations. Like no other device, this will boost your wifi signal to unprecedented level & will sustain it at its best. My signal went from unstable 20-30 Mbs to steady 300 Mbs.
Great and Stable
Combined with the TP-Link Omada system makes this unit easily adopted and managed.
Trying to turn on DHCP on the product. Nothing in the Management app. Nothing in included documentation. Spent half and hour searching on the web. Still not a clue. I actually understand this stuff and still couldn't figure out how to do this. Result - product is completely unusable. Can't connect to the internet.
At close range with an AX200 client speeds were (iperf3 gigabit LAN test server): TP-LINK EAP670 v1.20 (5.0ghz; 802.11ax; 160mhz; OFDMA) (1.0.3 Build 20220316 Rel. 51997(5553)) 919mbps download 933mpbs upload At a long distance (6-walls) speeds were 390mpbs down / 245 mbps up. Going outdoors (AP located inside 6-walls away): 151 mbps down / 155 mbps up The 2.4ghz band had speeds close-up of (2.4ghz; 40mhz; OFDMA): 208mbps down 115mbps up The outdoor test (AP was inside): 13 mbps down / 12 mbps up. The previous WiFi router (same indoor location) only got 1mbps down so this was a big improvement. The 2.4ghz band in my area is also very noisy with neighboring WiFi networks. One interesting note is the v1.20 hardware was shipped running firmware 1.0.3 Build 20220316. The latest firmware that can be downloaded from TP-Link however is only version 1.0.2 so it shipped with a newer firmware than can be downloaded from the OEM. I used the provided AC power adapter instead of PoE. The mounting kit comes with multiple screw types for the mount plate. The AP itself screws onto the plate easily. The web UI was very responsive and quickly applied changes after I hit the Save button. I did not test the mobile app nor controller options, just the standalone setup using the web UI. One con about the web UI is you cannot copy+paste the tables of connected clients easily. Attempting to select text does not work. It also breaks the list over multiple pages which you cannot change how many rows appear on each page. The unit itself is quite large, but it is not heavy.
I had issues with the wifi router provided by my isp. The wifi signal was very unstable and would often drop out. This access point solved these issues. It was very easy to install using just the iOS app.

Excellent WAPApr. 2021
As we added devices to our network, our old access point was slowly becoming overwhelmed. (Our computers and other devices would randomly disconnect from WiFi, throughput was slow, and the device itself would occasionally report that it ran out of RAM or had an overloaded CPU.) Upgraded from the single AP to a mesh network (one upstairs, one downstairs) w/ two of these devices, and am getting much better performance, faster connections/reconnections, and no dropped signals. Couldn't be happier.

Excellent AP. I got rid of Ubiquiti nanoHD, which was good but don't have this long range
Not the greatest of signal strengths on their own, but with the Omada Controller software installed on my Ubuntu Server/Pi Hole Server, the shift from access point to access point is seemless. I will be adding the outdoor version of this product line both in the front and back yard and wireless doesn't get better than this. This system is replacing a pair of wrt1900ac routers which only failing was when a device shifted back and forth between the connections, connections not designed for loss recovery would fail. I would have to create separate VLANs for each wrt1900ac for when I wanted to steer connections, don't have to do this for these (EAP265 HD). One SSID covers all access points and both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands.
