Huge improvement from my built in Bluetooth. I run a Switch Pro Controller on this about 15 feet away without any issues and no noticeable delay from the range. The package came with a CD and a flash drive with drivers however the drivers Windows found seems to work perfectly so I never used the included media. Probably could of saved a couple bucks if the manufacture didn't include the drivers media.

I was able to go from one side of the home to the other without any interruptions in a 1344 Square Foot home, but once I went past the garage on the other side of the house outside to our side area with a wooden fence where trash cans go, anywhere past there into the side lot has too much interference to where you start to get cut out, but not disconnected, you can still hear clearly. Consider that there were at least several walls between me and the other side of the house which was the end of the garage plus refrigerators it had to go through, simply amazing! Big metal interferences like cars and such are expected, but now anywhere in a 1344 Square Foot home and even when I'm taking the trash all the way out to street I can listen to whatever I am listening to on my Tribit XFree Tune headsets, even Jib True worked at these distances with this dongle, it is much better than my TP-Link USB Adapter that wasn't Class 1 like this device. Depending if I'm in an open area like in front of the home across the street, the 1344 Square Foot adds over 500+ more distance than the distance I walked indoors. I highly recommend this product and it is most certainly long range, I can say this is basically perfect, but it still can be improved upon further... though you can't expect Bluetooth to be the same as being wired 100s of feet.
I plugged this into a Windows 10 desktop PC that had no Bluetooth capability or drivers. The dongle shipped with a driver to be loaded by a mini-CD or thumb drive (both included), and installed easily enough. The device recognized some of my Bluetooth devices -- a stereo headset, a late-model portable keyboard -- and when pairing, it quickly recognized the keyboard but not the headset, though both devices worked with other computers that had built-in Bluetooth cards. A user trying to get a device to pair with this Bluetooth will probably have to consult Windows settings/devices/Bluetooth, which showed this product to be "working properly" (you may have to toggle Bluetooth "on" through settings, as it doesn't seem to be automatic. As for the headset problem: in Settings, the Windows device properties/hardware/events (I had to investigate a bit), I found an event reading "device not migrated" for each time I tired to pair it. I gather online that this is a problem, perhaps more to do with Windows updates than the product. Even so, if this unit is to be user-friendly it should anticipate this issue, and also, any retroactive compatibility with older Bluetooth devices, since the main problem with this unit seems to be the pairing/not migrated matter. It installs easily, can provide easy Bluetooth capability to desktops that didn't have it -- and when it works, it works well enough.

Initial installation I trusted to plug & play--Windows installed two drivers, v.4.0 & 5.0. After some trial and error found that the 4.0 version worked but not the 5.0. It worked for about a month--connected to headphones, keyboard and phone. Due to other issues had to reinstall windows and decided to try the drivers that came on the disk. This did not work at all, so reverted to plug & play, which initially worked with v.5.0. However, several days later all Bluetooth devices stopped working. I checked its status in Device Manager and found an alert flag on the v.5.0 driver. Tried updating but was no help. I'm giving up on this device--too problematic!
